Acoustic Glass
Acoustic glass, can function both as single glass and in double glazing
High noise levels are undesirable for most people and increasing environmental concerns, especially in urban areas. People can experience sound with an intensity of 60 dB as unpleasant and 80 dB as disturbing. Even background noise of 70 dB caused by external traffic can cause interference and stress for extended periods of time.
Sound insulation / acoustic glass can slow the transmission of sound up to about 52 dB in most cases.
About the product
Acoustic glass is a laminated glass consisting of two or more sheets of glass bonded together with one or more acoustic intermediate layers. The interlayers act as a noise-cancelling core, attenuating the sound as it passes through the glass. By changing the thickness of the glass sheets and foil layers, even better sound insulation can be achieved.
Suggestions
Sound penetration into buildings can be further reduced by the use of double glazed windows, which can also be acoustic glass.
Application
Depending on the safety requirement and the improvement of acoustic insulation, the different thicknesses of the glass and the number of intermediate layers, this glass is used for facades and interior design projects.
